Poetry

lone Star

I have been here before
I know this territory

Ave trodden this path
It’s bleak and dry

Not a bird will fly
Not an animal will cry
I am alone and lonely

With my thoughts and fears
To myself I can’t whisper
I toss and turn on my bed

A cold one, of worry and indecision
all night long

Then morning comes
And the moon shines
There’s no relief

I am left with nothing
Nothing but my will
My faith,faint power
And it more than enough
